ACUPRESSURE AND MAGNETIC THERAPY
Magnets & Magnetic Treatments
Magnetic Therapy using static magnetic fields is a wonderful non-invasive therapy with an extremely high success rate in relieving pain and moderating  problem conditions.  There are no  side effects and very few contraindications.  Magnetic Therapy has much to offer both in the treatment of chronic ailments and as a preventative therapy.  However, to achieve the best results, it is important that the correct magnetic treatment is used.  There are many poor quality products on the market, together with a lack of knowledge of which pole to use for different therapeutic treatments. Products, particularly from the Far East, often use poor quality, low strength magnets with incorrect poles or bipolar layouts, which are not effective for chronic ailments. Unfortunately, magnetic therapy has attracted some opportunists who have more interest in making sales than gaining the knowledge to recommend the correct product for the ailment. Proper magnetic treatments should be tailored to the individual’s condition and situation: Is it a chronic or acute condition; Is it one of deficiency (hypo) or excess (hyper); Does it require a preventative type approach; Should treatments be “Local,” or “Acu-Points as in Chinese Medicine;” What home-based magnetic treatments are recommended??

Recommended  Applications
LOCAL TREATMENT is defined  as placement of a magnetic product as close as possible to the site of injury or pain—e.g., for arthritic knee pain, use a knee wrap; muscle spasm  in the back, apply a “pancake” magnet to the painful area.  Treatment considerations include magnet strength (gauss), magnet size, freqency and duration of treatment, and polarity selection.   Single magnets of high quality and proper magnetic strength provide deep penetration to tissues and cells to promote rapid healing.  In most cases, negative magnetic poles are used, particularly for chronic ailments, inflammation, and trauma.  Positive fields are used less frequently, but do find application in acu-point stimulation, stimulating the lymph system, or acting to correct hypo organ conditions.
ROOT TREATMENTS based on Chinese Medicine, can be very effective in treating chronic pain symptoms. Following the same principles as used in acupuncture and acupressure, this non-invasive method affects the flow of Qi (energy) in the body to restore balance and reduce pain/symptoms. Some typical conditions that can be successfully treated with magnetic therapy using proper magnets and acupoints:
TendonitisSciaticaShoulder ProblemsBack Pain
Arthritis   SinusitisHeadaches    Insomnia
Stress     Neck Pain     Migraines             Cystitis
